Founder
ASGI was founded with a mission to raise awareness, support patients, and advance amyloidosis research. Guided by passion and purpose, we continue to grow, making a meaningful impact in the fight against this disease.
Meet our Founder
Dr. Satish Chandra
ASGI was born from a vision of hope, awareness, and action in the fight against amyloidosis. Our founder, driven by compassion and a deep sense of purpose, recognized the urgent need for a dedicated community that supports patients, empowers caregivers, and advances research.
What started as a mission to spread awareness has grown into a strong and supportive network of advocates, medical professionals, and volunteers working together for a common cause. With unwavering dedication, ASGI continues to expand its reach, ensuring that no patient feels alone and that every voice is heard.
Through education, advocacy, and innovation, we are committed to making a lasting impact—because together, we can change lives.

Care Giver
Soumya Banerjee, a dedicated caregiver and advocate, is vital to ASGI’s mission, strengthening patient support and awareness in the amyloidosis community.
Meet Our Care Giver
Soumya Banerjee
Soumya Banerjee became deeply involved in the fight against amyloidosis when his father, Gopal Banerjee, was diagnosed with suspected cardiac amyloidosis in 2024. Experiencing firsthand the delayed diagnosis, complex treatment process, and emotional toll, he took on the role of a caregiver and advocate, navigating medical consultations and managing daily care.
Determined to address the gaps in patient support, Soumya joined ASGI (Amyloidosis Support Group India) to raise awareness, improve early diagnosis, and strengthen the caregiver support system. His mission is to bridge the gap between patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers, ensuring that no family faces the challenges of amyloidosis alone.
